Is the GPS functioning correctly on this unit? View the Chart page and see if it is showing your current position.

The GPS was working fine on the unit—I could even display the GPS speed in the corner of another navigation screen. I called tech support yesterday and went through a bunch of settings with them. The tech recommended doing a factory reset once I was back on shore. (At the time, I was out on Lake Erie trolling for walleyes.)

This morning, I performed the factory reset, and everything returned to normal. I was nervous about losing my waypoints, but thankfully, everything was still there. I reset my preferences and screens, and now everything’s running smoothly again.

Huge thanks to tech support—for the great help. He used a live video link to see what I was seeing, which made the process so much easier. I really like these Garmin units. Fingers crossed I won’t need more help anytime soon, but it’s great knowing support like this is there if I do. Thanks Todd for reaching out. I have a lot of money blood sweat and tears into these new units and they are now running perfect!
