Pros / Coms of lithium batteries in a 2014 921

Hi. Getting a new to me 2014 921 with a 250 Mercury in a few weeks. New bird will need new batteries. Saw 100ah lithium batteries on Amazon for $160/each. New lead acid group 31 are about the same cost wise.

Any downside to running lithiums on boat performance? Or other issues to think about? Should I redistribute weight? She currently has 2 8 foot power poles so she as a bit of extra weight in the back.

No down side to lithiums. I run Litime's with bluetooth for my TM. Ionic 125 for the starting battery. I cant seem to run them down. Bluetooth lets me know the state of charge.

You may loose a few MPH from loosing weight in the ass end. Plenty of posts on here about people loosing speed after going lithium. To me it doesn't outweigh the pros of going lithium. I was tired of buying X2's every 10 months and them telling me it's not under warranty. You sure about the Amazon for $160? Sounds cheap for a high dollar boat. I can speak to the Ionics. 125 for cranking and (3) 50's for the trolling motor. Never been close to draining them.

I have a 921 PHX- went lithium last year - the hole shot is a huge difference ! I’m not someone who cars about driving as fast as I can so losing a few MPH doesn’t matter to me . Also, just fished a tournament on Sunday- 20-30 MPH winds on a HP restriction lake so I was on the trolling motor all day - 58% battery left - 36V ultrex and was honestly on at lest 5 all day and a lot of 8-9 moving from one spot to the next plus spot lock 20% of the time- I went with EPOCH 105 AH batteries

I bought my 920 Elite Jan 31st of this year. I had 3 Ionic 50 ah batteries and one 125 ah battery that I had took out of my other boat. I was hesitate to put them in my new boat because I was afraid it would affect the performance. Last week I had to replace my onboard battery charger and the only to do it was to pull the trolling motor batteries. While they were out I decided to bite the bullet and put my lithiums in. Glad I did. My performance is actually better with the lithiums. Hole shot is better, top end is better and water doesnt come up on my back deck when I shut down. My speed went from 72.7 to 73.8. I might have hit 74 if I would have had more room to run.
