Mini-split Mr. Cool vs Runtru advice

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a mini split for the boat shed/garage. Local guy has suggested either Mr. Cool or a Runtru by Trane.

The Runtru comes with a longer warranty coverage but about $550 more.

Any thoughts from the BBC experts?

Look at it this way, you're paying the extra $550 for the warranty. Years back I remember when I needed a hot water heater. The 20 year warranty one was $200 more than the 10 year warranty. I said to the sales person what is the difference in the heater? he said nothing, they're both the same, you're paying the extra $200 for the warranty. I said well if they think the water heater is going to last 20 years, why should I pay $200 more for it.

Had a Mr. Cool unit in my detached garage. Unit worked great but did have an issue with the compressor when the unit was 4 years old. Customer Service was great and sent me a new outside unit within a week. DIY unit was less than half the cost of the bigger brands (after install cost) and came with a 7 year compressor warranty. Would definitely buy another one.
