probably a dumb question but here goes...
is there any reason to renew my built in navionics+ sub when I keep my regional vision+ current. I don't think I use the navionics charts.

With an active Vision+ subscription and all MFDs that you want to view current maps on ethernet-linked, there is no reason to update the built-in maps, at least for the area covered by your Vision+.
