I've had a Honda longer than I can remember. First pull start since I've had it. I've already had to change the wheels out three times over the years because they wore out. Those can get a little costly. I've had to buy them on Amazon the last couple years. They run about $48 if anyone needs a replacement. sponsored https://amzn.to/4ifGvPh

I've got a Toro Personal Pace with electric start and it's been excellent. I've got a bum shoulder so the electric start is nice.

My Toro that I've used for 17 years after inheriting it from my dad, well, it decided it had enough. The drive gear has malfunctioned. Belt spins the pulley, but the wheels, they ain't turning. I use it to cut the back around the pool area and bag the clippings. Less stuff to get in the pool. Since I have an EGO blower with extra batteries, I went and got me an EGO self propelled mower. That thing does great. Cut the front with it too. I was a little skeptical, but no more. A bonus, it is so much easier to handle on the slope behind the pool. So much better. Only thing, I have to get used to the rear wheel drive. It has better grip than a front wheel drive which I have used since forever. Have to re-train the brain.

There's lots of decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing.

My Honda is plastic deck, but is going on 18 years old now and the deck is still in great shape. It does take 2 or 3 pulls to start it nowadays if if it's cold, but other than that, it's still in good shape. Unfortunately, they aren't making Honda mowers anymore.

That's been my take on Hondas too. The wheels are their weak link but if you don't mind replacing them, the pros outweigh the cons IMO

Could that have been Bradley mowers? It’s the only high wheel mower I have found so far. Kinda looks like the old Yazoo mower. Exactly what I am wanting but not a dealer anywhere near me to look at one. Around 1500$ Still looking.

It could have been. Been a long time since I've seen them. At a distance it looked just like the Yazoo, same size rear wheels and drive train.

I have three push mowers; a Honda, a toro, and a Milwaukee Electric and it's no contest....the Milwaukee by a mile.....providing you have the battery power to last thru the duration of your mow......it powers through much higher thicker turf than either of the gas powered mowers....and it's actually easy to push if you elect to not use the self propel lever.....there is no drag when you back up it's truely free wheeling until you push the lever.....no worry about oil, plugs, bad gas, clogged carbs....or air cleaners......Love, Love, Love it....

All the self propelled ones that I have had are a pain to push or pull if you don’t want to use the propelled part. Would like to have an honest review on the Bradley mowers.

Wouldn’t have a walk behind unless it was self propelled. Love my Honda.
