Sean all I can say is if you are fishing the upper bay without a GPS you had better study your charts very well before venturing out into the bay. You would think a body of water that big wouldbe pretty deep in the center...... It's not at all. You would be surprised how many 20' cudy cabin boats I have seen sitting lop sided on the flats waiting on the tide. I had a pleasure boat zipping around me like jackass's one day on the flats (really pee'ing me off), ten mionutes later they were wedged up on the sand flats.... they had the balls to notion to me for help... I waved and then flicked them off laughing all the way to my next spot.....

when i first got my boat bascat7 hooked me up. we went out a couple days before and showed me the route to take around the flats and some spots to hit. i think that will be the only day i will out fish him. 1-0 i'll take it. lol. if not for him i would have been one of those guys waving for help, i am sure!! thanks stan!! i know i would have headed right down the middle of that shallow flat. but now i was looking for a gps with contour lines for fishing purposes. finding dropoffs and such.

You can always pick up the upper bay chart at Eastern Marine. I know it's not a GPS but its better than nothing and I think they are only about $20
