Advise for Lake Hickory

I am coming up for a 3 day weekend in 2 weeks. I have never been on Hickory. I am assuming the majority of the largemouth are pre-spawn or spawning or will be in a couple weeks? Is that a safe assessment? How is the water color and does anyone know the current surface temp? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is not for a tournament, it's just my wife and I getting away for a weekend after having the boat serviced Friday morning at Foothills Marine.

You can find about any color water you want to fish. The fish are a little behind but in two weeks you can look at them.
