    Bass boat in garage

What bass boats will fit in a 20ft garage? I have Tracker 175 now and it fits with a few inches to spare, that's motor trimmed down and turned. Want to get into a used fiberglass boat. Maybe 20'6" overall storage length.

Basscat Sabre or Bobcat should work.

Not many, I've got a 24' garage and anything over 19' will not fit. How would you get a 20'6" boat in a 20' garage?

Basscat Bobcat will. I have the same size Basscat Margay. With a 150 it's a great boat.

Need to angle it, turn the motor, and fold the tongue. My garage is just a little over 23’ deep and have no problem parking my Phoenix 920 and still have room for wife’s car.

My Skeeter ZXR 20 is about 23 1/2 feet in the garage and I have had several other 20 footers that had a garage length like that as well.

The Bass Cats mentioned above or a Triton 179 TRX at a very slight angle would be good choices.

All good info above. I had a 24 ft deep garage wanted a 19 ft boat. I moved the back wall 7 ft. It was vinyl siding so no brick to mess with. Well worth the $$$$ spent. Good luck with what ever you decide.

My Basscat Margay (now Bobcat) was 19' 7" with a small 2" jack plate, 115 Merc, and swing tongue on the trailer. I needed every inch so I had to go with the small jack plate. Performance suffered but the boat fit in my garage (barely)!

Had an old friend who needed just a couple feet to fit his boat straight in his detached garage. He built a 4' x 6' jut out for the motor. He didn't want to angle the boat, as he worked on hot rods and race cars and needed the space next to the boat. I remember he had a Ford T bucket in there when he got the new boat.

My garage is a 1.3ft longer than your but wide so I can create angle. Backing straight in, I think the smaller Basscats mentioned previously are good choices.

most brand bass boats have inflated themselves over the past 30 years to keep up with competition but that hurts the person needing a compact package.

Same garage depth as poster. (Might even be couple inches shorter). Uphill and side entry no less! I’ve 2 car, 9’ doors. I have to use wheel jacks on front axles, and angle in with motor turned and folded tongue. Tight fit, reason I replaced a Sabre with another one. Wife still fits s her Forrester in closest to house side.

20'6" worth of storage, should be able to fit some 18ft and 17.5fters. Has to have a fold away tongue though. Some have motors kind of inset of the back that makes it more compact. Trx 179, Z6, and there's a ranger one that's around those sizes too. Most don't show a overall storage length when trying to research the though.

My 18'3",with a 10 inch Atlas jack plate, needs 22 feet with the outboard turned in all the way to one side and hitch coupler folded in. I have to park the boat at, I'm guessing, a 20 degree angle to fit and have a gap to walk in front of the hitch coupler with the garage door closed with my garage that is 22 feet long by 18 1/2 feet wide with a 16 feet wide garage door. I'm lucky that the dryer and steps to the inside of the house are on the opposite side of the garage that the outboard is, since they have 20 feet to the garage door. Use a tape measure, I use a Stanley Power Lock 30', to see what maximum length at the perfect angle is for your garage. Find a dealer(s) that has the boat(s) you like in their show room. Run a tape measure under the boat's center line from the folded in coupler at the front to farthest protruding back corner of the outboard's cowling to see how many feet you need. If you don't have to park a car and don't have too many things stored in the garage, you can get the most length if you can park it Kitty-corner (45 degrees).

This reminds me why I made my garage 34’ deep in the boat bay. Now if I had made the door taller. Lol.
