    115 opti fuel injector removal

2015 Mercury proxs 2 stroke optimax
    serial# 2B018514.

hey guy getting my boat ready for the spring and I want to remove the injectors and clean them a bit my question is are the injectors the purple colored things on the fuel rail or do I have to remove the fuel rail and are the injectors the grey things that go into the block? And if I have to remove the rail do I have to slpit the bottom cowl to get the rail off?

The fuel injectors in the rail are purple.

The DIRECT injectors between the rail and block are GRAY.

Traditional equipment is not capable to properly driving these injectors to any real useful parameters. In many cases, more HARM is done than good.

Additionally- the fuel rail and hoses should be cleaned at the same time.

    Non ethanol vs ethanol

Ok guys I have another question, for the past 4 years I have own the boat I had no choice but to run ethanol fuel in my boat. But now there is a station that is now carrying non ethanol gas which I know is the preferred fuel for my 115hp Mercury proxs 2stroke. The question is do I run the risk of hurting my outboard if I start running non ethanol or will I be ok,I have a quarter tank now in it and was going to fill up with non ethanol fuel and start running only non ethanol?? What say you guys that know thanks as always for the input
