Put em here guys...
Fished Club touney out of Bayou Segnette. Fish were in Cataouche outside the grass beds about 1/2 mile from shore chasing shad. Me and partner caught 30-40 small fish (8-10 inches) but both managed a 8 pound stringer each (5 fish) my largest was 2-13 and his largest was 2-7.
How did ya'll fair in the tournamanet?
well, it was a club T, I took 3rd, my partner took 2nd. He is currently in the lead for the Angler of the Year standings for the club.
We will be fishing Des Allemands Dec 3rd and 4th.. I will post a report after that tourney... from what I hear.. Des Allemands is pretty good right now also.
Cool deal, congrats!
All of our club tourneys are finished up now...we can't get more than 1 or 2 boats this time of the year cause of hunting season....course, I am never one of the 1 or 2 boats either though so i can't complain....
fished club tourney out of Des Allemands Saturday the 3rd, and all I can say is I stunk up the joint.. BAD.. not a hit all day. Couple of guys did make the run to the Pen in Lafitte and ended up with 8.5 pounds. Wind was kickin about 30-35 MPH.. had to stay in protected coves all along Bayou Des Allemands... good thing I just bought new TM batteries.
Cory sorry to hear about no fish. Makes you wonder how you don't as least catch 1 stupid fish.
I had the same experience at False River on the same day...makes me get mad at the fish! I want revenge!
Had a couple of 7's and an 8 come out of Lake Beouf this past weekend.
I always like fishing down there, but after someone tried to steal all the wheels off my trailer at the public launch in kraemer I haven't gone back...if they keep catching fish like that I might have to rethink things a little.
Launch in DA and take the 25 minute boat trip to Beouf!
That's what we do!
I fish out of Kreamer all or the time, never had a problem, but most of them probably know my truck and boat, now the launch off of hwy 18 or 20 going to thibodaux-- thats a different story-- no one is safe.

fished lake catauche at the deversion outlets with the kids fish were on we cought 20 on humdinger sautrus and white they had a blast last wednesday after school.
how often do they open the bridge @ kraemer? Never really tried to head up bouef into lake des allemands before, but didn't look like you could pass under the bridge.
you can pass under the bridge. If the water is really high, you may have to take a pedestal seat down, but your in no danger of that right now-- water too low.

Fished out of Bayou Segnette this afternoon for the first time. The wind was really ripping and boy was it ever cold. I managed one redfish about 19 inches on a 1/4 ounce white Rumba Doll spinner bait. Also caught 2 bass. One about 2 1/2lbs on the same spinnerbait and another about 3 1/2 on a Blk/Blue/Purple 1/2 ounce jig. Both fish were extremely swole with eggs but neither one had a beat up tail. All three fish were caught in dead ends in about 2 1/2 feet of water and seemed to be really aggressive.
Heading back out in the morning. The wind isn't supposed to be as bad as today, but it's supposed to be much colder. Should make the fishing pretty tough. Oh well, I fish when I can get off work not neccessarily when the weather is perfect.
fished a T out of Segnette this weekend, and although the wind was blowing and the temps were cold in the morning, we all did pretty good.. winning weight was 13 and change, and only 2 people skunked. Most were caught in canals around Lake Cataouche, but not in the lake itself.
I guess I'm below par then. I went Friday for most of the day and it was beautiful other than the fact that I couldn't boat a bass. I fished canals around Cataouche and managed 4 redfish. I missed one bass right at the boat on a spinnerbait and had another one follow the bait all the way to the boat but it never hit. I've only fished the area about 3 times though.
we had success throwing a crankbait around laydowns, but fishing it like a jerkbait. They were TAGGING it!
Friday I tried a little bit of everything and just couldn't get on anything but reds. I tried fishing shallow, deep, clear water, stained water, rough water, and smooth water. I think I just need more time out there to figure the place out. I had Delacroix dialed in like you wouldn't believe, but that's not an option anymore. Guess I'll just keep tryin!
