Water temperature issues - Minnkota/Humminbird MDI to HDS gen3

Having issues with water temp reading incorrectly on my Lowrance hds 12 gen3. I recently installed a new minnkota ultrex with mega down imagining transducer built in, to run this on my lowarance graph I also purchased the MKR-DSC-10 LOWRANCE adapter to connect the minnkota/humminbird transducer to my lowrance for 2d down imaging and though water temperature. Issue is I’m showing water temp that is incorrect, was 45 air temp in the garage last night and lowrance unit was displaying 24.

Followed several how to’s on calibrating temperature but when I would get to my water temp data source it was say there was no data source. I would disconnect the mk/hb transducer and my temp would go to - - - reconnect and it would again read ~24.

moving to my console lowrance carbon unit, it is reading correct temp off of the rear side imaging transducer however navigating to its data source for water temperature it also reads that there is no data source available.

I have my lowrance units connected via Ethernet to share waypoints between the console and bow, was hoping this would enable me to pull temperature from the rear transducer but both units are showing no data source even though both are reading temperatures (albeit incorrectly at the bow).

has anyone run into this issue before? I’m relatively new to changing/integrating my fish finders, bought the boat with them installed and used as is until now, hoping I can sort this out relatively simply.

Unless something has changed since the last time I owned a MK, you can`t pull temp from that TM when you use Lowrance. You can pull temp from other sources though, you probably have a transom mount transducer you can pull temp from over the NMEA-network.

Thanks! I’m new to rigging electronics on my boat and didn’t know that lowrance units couldn’t use the temp data off the mk/hb transducers. Also hadn’t verified that I couldn’t share temp data between my lowrance units over Ethernet and that I would need to get a nema cable, thought it might have been the case though.

is anyone else seeing the issue where there is no source for their temp data but they are still displaying correct temp? My console lowrance connected to my rear transducer is doing this. I don’t want to buy a nema, run it through the boat and still not be able to select the right source for temp data.
