I know a couple people who tried to watch the weigh in for the FIRST TIME EVER. They both told me...too long, turned it off.

Watching via streaming, it was obvious that attendance (at the weigh ins) was down this year. I don't blame the host state or venue - this is all on BASS. It should be a well-oiled machine by now after 50+ Classics. To drag out the weigh-in like they did this year was the absolute worst decision. If BASS doesn't get of some people making these decisions, they're going to lose a lot of fans, and sponsor dollars soon, IMO.
No. I have attended 29. More people go now than when it was in the summer. Also it is WAY better for the fishermen. Less traffic on the lake and easier on the fish to. Now maybe if it were still being held Thursday thru Saturday it might be a little different but I doubt it

Their management is awful. Been saying it for years, and they keep proving my point.

I was thinking about this not long ago. I may be mistaken but I believe weigh-in at the Conroe classic required a ticket in the beginning then later just started letting people in with no ticket required. They had drawings to win tickets at the Nitro owners party. I didn't attend any weigh-ins.

I wasn't going to go to the weigh-in because of the digital ticket, but ended up downloading the app. never used it as We copped a couple of paper tickets to the floor seats
I'm going to delete the app now, but I fear it's too late as i am already getting pounded with adds from Ticketmaster already

If you have never been to one like you say you have no idea how many kids show up. Tons. BASS does have this down to a science. Classic weigh ins have always been LONG. Go one time. One day be at the ramp when they come off the lake to head back to the arena and watch what all takes place. Then at the arena when the boats arrive. It’s all handled remarkably well. In no way can I see blaming BASS for attendance. And if you think it was going to be close to Knoxville or Greenville you’re dreaming

Ticketmaster anything....I'm out. Most of the older folks wouldn't have a clue how to even find the app store, much less download the app. They be driving around all over downtown FW looking for the app store. The ticketmaster process is a terrible way for the general population of rednecks, hillbillies, and fisher wannabes to enter. Prolly more flip phones in that Coliseum than there's been in a long time. Makes all the sense regarding attendance. Think it through, B.A.S.S.

Well, when you get right down to it, a barcode scanner shoots a beam out of the box to identify what's in front of it. So, Randy was kinda right. People were not happy about that and did not go or left.

I watched part of the weigh ins and knew very quickly how screwed up the whole deal was. I couldn't make it through half of them. The expo looked nice from what I saw of it on TV.

I know BASS tries to pack as much as they can in the time and space they have but it's to the point of it looking like 20 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag. You can't even see the bag anymore.

Absolutely zero reason for the weigh ins to take that long. It's as if BASS has gone off on some strange tangent that just doesn't resonate with people like it used to.

Not the same but the Air show with the Blue Angels at Mather Field drew more people in 2 days than BASS drew in the four days Over a 100,00 people with them having to turn away people.

OK, I understand from the guys fishing standpoint there's not as much pleasure boat traffic as during Summer. It's just that I've watched the Classics since the early 80's and watching this year's weigh in, it just seemed not as "electric". I do plan to attend a Classic in person, maybe next year. Hopefully the weigh-in starts before 4PM cuz at 66, I'm in bed by 8PM, lol.

Well I'm sure BASS will find a fix to it. I watched a little portion of Randy's video and turned it off. The dude is the biggest darned cry baby out there. Level field, blah. Rick, Congrats on the new Lynx. Definately an awesome boat!

Even with my technology background, I was confused we needed to pay twice. Oh well, it was a great day.
