Question does FFS make 360 unnecessary?

I'm about to completely revamp my electronics and add FFS for the first time. I have Ghost 360 (not great, I know) that I have gotten accustomed to using quite a bit. If I eliminate Lowrance screens I'm thinking of adding M360 because I think I would miss having 360. I really like having the photo like image to help me follow rock or grass edges, find wood etc. I have very limited experience with FFS, so my ? is: If I have the latest FFS paired with a high end graph, would that effectively make 360 unnecessary? or would it be worth the cost and weight/space on bow to have the additional info? TIA for the help guys.

Is asking the same question in multiple forums necessary?

My buddy has a Ghost and says the pointer on the top is terribly loose and only fix is an aftermarket top part for like $300. Is your pointer very accurate? Not what you were asking but might be an added expense to consider.

I took it apart and "repaired it" (youtube) but it is still slightly off. It operates much smoother though.

I still use a non-MEGA360 with my LVS32 because I can see the area orientation better. Also, it is nice that Humminbird allows me to see my waypoints on the 360 view and not only on the navigation map.

FFS doesn’t make 360 unnecessary in any way. I have all HB for my setup (2 Solix 12’s console & bow) with M360 along with a Garmin 1222 and LVS34. Having 360 is such a useful tool that allows me to be way more efficient in my use of FFS. I can easily see structure, baitfish and fish on my 360 and point my livescope at it to explore further. Most of my friends have this same setup with the exception of one guy who only has Livescope. No one wants to fish on his boat until he gets 360 like the rest of us have. I don’t think there is a better combination available on the market at this time. Using 360 allows me to be way more precise and cover less water compared to using a boat without 360. If I had to choose one over the other I’d probably go with 360. It’s that good of a tool when you know how to use it, adding livescope on top is the best deal possible in my experience. Ditch your Lowrance units, get an Explore or Solix with M360 and add a Garmin with LVS34. You won’t regret it at all.

I had a 360 with my livescope for a bit and got rid of it. As a weekend angler, I can really only focus on one sonar screen at a time, and the 360 always caused a light interference as it swept through my livescope. Wasn't worth it for me.

On my previous boat I had M360 and LV34. On my latest boat I run the LV34 in perspective mode that actually shows the fish moving. I do not plan on installing a M360. The only negative with the lv34 is no way points are displayed unlike the M360.
