Differences in screen resolution / brightness of different units?

How does the GPSmap 1222 compare to the 1243? What about the 8612?

Does the 1222 have better brightness / resolution than the 126sv UHD? What about the UHD2?

This doesn't give the information I'm looking for. I'm looking for a more "real world" take on resolution and Garmin doesn't provide the nits (brightness in sunlight) measurement of each unit.

For instance, I have heard the 1243 has a better screen than the Echomap 126 UHD2 and is brighter but they are listed at the same resolution

Like you mention, they don't publish nits, may be hard to hone in on that since anything you get back will be subjective.

Resolution is provided on the Garmin website, however. 8612 is the best out of those options listed for resolution.
