Two years ago, their tournament coverage very good. They had Live and Live Mix. You could pick which you wanted to watch…commentary or no commentary. Then, they added commentary to the Live Mix and ruined it. Now, they had some of the old Live Mix on YouTube…which I would never have found if it wasn’t for it being mentioned on here. But, they only ran that YouTube coverage for a short time in the morning before the Fox broadcast started. Then, they went to Mercer and other doing the commentary on the website stream while Zona, Sanders, and Davey did the Fox broadcast.

There are lots of comments on their Facebook posts that say “Stop all the talking and show us fishing!” They used to do that with the old Live Mix. And, I can’t think it would cost them much to stream what is already coming in live from the cameras in competitors’ boats.

The only thing I can figure is that they have these studio segments and halftime shows sold to sponsors, so they want to push their audience to one feed to better sell the segments.

They are in a weird place right now, the broadcasts are almost more of a video podcast with some occasional glimpses at fishing. You really don't miss anything right now if you simply watch the end of day highlights, because you aren't watching and hearing from the anglers throughout the day very much anymore. BPT and even the Invitationals are simply a better broadcast right now.

Really never thought after the introduction of live stream bass fishing competitions, I would get the point that I would long for BASS's old edited shows.. But at this point that is exactly where I am at. I just think they have gotten to the point that it is so wildly over monetized and BASS especially is squeezing every dollar out of it.. to the point that it is damaging their "product". I tried watching it the last 3 days... I'd guess that I was able to stand it for maybe.. 1- 2 hours total. Zero of the weigh ins.. It's no longer a livestreamed competition.. it's a 8 hr commercial about BASS and its sponsors with just enough little bits of the live competition fed in to keep fans watching 6 hours of commercials and studio segments "presented" by somebody. I get they need to pay the bills... But dang this was a new low for them IMO. Sad thing is.. I fully expect if the other two leagues could "sell" as much advertising.. they'd probably look just about the same.

Did not get to see the whole final weigh-in but did they mention how much the winner received ? Did they show the winner with a big check ?

I'm not sure who thinks its a good idea to do these interviews. Its bass fishing. We want to see them fish, hear them talk, etc. Doesn't matter if he doesn't catch a fish in an hour.

The MORONS need to pick one single provider for broadcasting. Stupid, watch here till 10, go there till 2, over here to 4 back to the first for the 47 hour weigh in. I remember Ray Scott doing a weigh in in and hour tops. But wait thats not all. You get to see the back of fishermen's necks with all the exciting scoping. Then we have the pleasure of the "half time" show. WTF was that GARBAGE. I know nothing about broadcasting but Im smart enuff to hire someone that does know and smart enuff to put it on one platform.

I was really looking forward to watching fishing. Three days in Texas was going to great! Sadly I got to watch almost no fishing.

But the whole broadcast was so bad I doubt they were able to string together 2 hours of problem free air time.

Then again the majority of people have a low IQ and don't have any standards, so unfortunately you're probably right. The majority of our population was probably ok with it.
Not sure what IQ has to do with anything, surely that was not a backhanded slap at me...... Can't be.

The audio only really cut out for me when they were not talking. Don't care to hear crowd noise so I was ok with it. I only watched Friday, and the weigh in on Sunday.

Pleasing a small market, and small group of fishermen, maybe one of the greatest accomplishments in history. Don't get me wrong can it improve, sure. was it so bad I want to quit fishing... no.

The arena was a 25.00 uber ride or 25-35 to park in if you drove, not walk able from the show...that didnt help matters at all. As well it drug out to late in the evening IMO especially on Sunday when people had flights to catch to get home. As also pointed out Texas is a long drive for a majority of the fan base...keeping it more central like a Knoxville defiantly helps that situation out. The whole FFS sonar angle is really not a legit theory on this...its strictly location and costs.

I think there needs to be a 2-6 hours tv series on the life of Randy. I'd like to see how a typical week goes for him now and look back at all of his major BASS wins.

The video content makers sure do love to hear themselves. It's funny. Randy's makeup looked great today. He's switched to the Paisty Spring Pallet.

Lol, so you watched very little of it and are defending it, priceless. It absolutely sucked! The final weigh-in was the smoothest of all the footage.

So it was just day 2? and day 3 live only. of course it always the part I did not watch. Dang if I only watched it every hour than i would know. reading all this I thought the whole thing sucked, not just 1/2 of it. silly me.

Again can they do better, yes.... as stated above. but it was not awful by any means in my opinion. Make sure u understand what I am "defending"
