Digital Throttle on 250 Pro XS 4 stroke

I asked my dealer if I could get a DTS system and digital hotfoot, he told me there are two versions of the ProXS DTS and non-DTS.
Trying to get to the bottom of this.

You've been informed incorrectly. The 250 ProXS is indeed available in a DTS model. It uses completely and utterly different rigging for the controls, keyswitch, harness, and even the hotfoot.

Mercury does not offer any kits to make a Mechanical engine become a DTS engine. It would require extensive harness and equipment changes, making it less expensive to simply order the engine you would like.

I wanted to know if my current engine 2024 Pro XS 4s, Serial- 3B452725, would accept DTS. I was told there are two types DTS and non-DTS, my engine is the non-DTS version.
Are you saying that is incorrect?
Regarding the 24hr, I understand. I am on my computer for work so it's easy for me to jump in an out. My apologies.

Thank you for restating your question. With that clarified, you were informed correctly. Your MECHANICAL engine cannot communicate with DTS controls/systems. It is designed for mechanical controls (only).

If your engine were a DTS, it would accept ONLY DTS controls.

For me long runs and no wake zone you can switch from hotfoot to shifter handle

DTS eliminates the worn, stretched, corroded or damaged cables. It's built-in fail-safes can detect problems with the shift or throttle system before you even command a change, and can take appropriate action to help protect the engine (as well as the boat occupants).
