Been wondering since fish are transported in livewells around an hour & 1/2 to the weigh-in , are dead fish penalties accessed at ramp or at weigh-in site ? Is it contestants responsibility to plug off livewells to prevent water loss on the road trip ? Plugging overflows & inlets seems like best way to not lose water. Using livewell additives & ice also seems like a no brainer. Does BASS make sure all wells are full of water before boats leave the ramp ? It's just something I've not seen addressed .
