    Z520L / Z521L Seat Removal Instructions

    All been looking for seat removal instructions for my Z520L. I finally asked Ranger and they sent them to me and I thought I would share. Cheers

    These instructions are for boats that are slightly newer than mine. I’ve read they used a different slide design prior to this one. It changed to this one within a month or so after mine was built. I Emailed Ranger and they responded with “call your dealer”. Does anyone have experience removing their 2018 model seats from the skull cap?

    9/22/24 UPDATE.... On my 2018 520L, made in 10/17, the skull cap is removed and the seat slides are held in with (6) 1/2" lock nuts only accessible from the bottom of the skull cap. Once the cap is loose, you can lift it up onto the rear deck and tilt it rearward to have access to those nuts. It's a heavy unit. Two person job if you have a helper available.

    Thank you. I will try this. Need to run new transducer wire and can't get anywhere pulling on old wire.

    Removing the seat will definitely help then. I just did the exact same thing. What boat do you have?
