Plug/Receptacle for MK Ultrex

Installing Ultrex Quest. Going to run 24v system off two batteries in series. I’ve heard many thoughts on which plug to use. I’ve about narrowed down to the MinnKota MKR-28 and the Marino 70A models.
Would like feedback on these or any others.
The trolling motor comes with 8g wire but I plan to run 6g coming off the batteries. Will the receptacle receive/take the bigger wire?
Finally, if I decided in the future to go to a 36V system, would there be an issue with either plug? Would they work?
the Marinco is a 3 pin system that can be used for 36V.
Not sure about the MK MKR-28.
Any information and feedback is appreciated.

I used the mkr28 for my install and ran 6ga from my batteries, no issues connecting. The plug is rated for up to 48v. It’s a solid plug I am happy with it. Just make sure you have chosen the correct gauge wire for the length of run, there is a chart in the installation instructions if you are unsure. I don’t have any info on the other plug, maybe someone else will comment.

Battery Tender also makes an excellent plug with receptacle.

I have the Marino 70 amp with 6 gauge wire, no issues.

I've used the big Minn Kota one for at least 2-3 years so far, and no problems yet.
