    Root Collective

Just throwing this out there in case people are interested in financial/retirement planning. I joined a group on Skool called Root Collective and it is free to join. The company that runs it does retirement planning but it is free to join as it is just a discussion board about retirement. They do some case studies and other things once a week on a variety of topics such as Roth Conversions, withdraw strategies, tax optimization and other topics.

I’d never heard of Skool. Have now signed up and been accepted into the root collective group. Look forward to learning about the various topics. Thanks!

It will be interesting to see if anything new comes forward. When I started thinking about retirement ~2 years ago, I had some good seeds planted by a financial planner. The seeds got me thinkingand analyzing on my own; and that was good. Many of the specifics appear to me multiple years later as less than optimal. As I open different newsletters that I have from big investment houses, I can now see lots of generic content being recycled and what is missing is a person's specifics.

The tax rates for 2026+ and treatment of Social Security is by far the biggest ? in my retirement strategy. I think all financial planners know this and the topic is void in anything I've read in the last few months.
