Whatever it is hopefully it's a sub 20 foot model to take the place of the discontinued Caracal and Sabre. I am sure it will run great with a tuned Yamaha SHO on it.

Oh that would be sweet. A boat faster than the Jaguar with the 500R...........

Weird how you'd have to tune that Yamaha in order for it to run great.

Well you aren't going to get over 300 hp out of a 200 Mercury 4 stroke. Even stock for stock the Yamaha runs better, but nothing like it does once tuned.

Patriot, Do you even own a Yamaha? You’re probably running a Force. Your
continuing putting down of Mercury is getting old, very old. Give it a rest.

Hope not another STS platform that drives cost up by 20k. Have a 2020 Puma, wanted to upgrade, could not believe what a 2025 puma sts goes for. Cougar SP looks like a “bargain” when going against the STS platform.

The STS is NOT what is driving up the price.

4 - 12inch Graphs, Spot Lock TM, Poles, 360, FFS and all the other add on's are what is driving up the cost of new boats.

YES the SP package is a great deal in today's market.

So, you're saying that the cost of the boat, motor, and trailer is not increasing?

Yeah, I know. Just don't like seeing all the blame go to just the add-ons.

Maybe it will have an Evinrude as an option or Maybe first all electric Bass Boat. All electric with a 120 MPH top speed, downside is the batteries go dead in 2 minutes at that speed, up side they last all day at idle.

No, but what I am saying is that the boat manufacture does the fiberglass hull. Most of the cost is from bolt on accessories. That includes the Engine, Trolling Motor and electronics.

We all want more stuff and it adds to the cost.

Materials cost more now than in 2020

We put more stuff on our boats now than before

I hate seeing the boat manufactures blamed for rising cost.

Yes, no Force for me. I am not putting down Mercury, I have 3 of them, just stating facts.

First time I've seen the motor considered to be an accessory. I have no problem blaming the builder for higher cost. People's memory fades quickly and they don't remember the huge price jumps due to "supply chain" problems. Note the quotes. Of course those increases have never been reduced. For the record, I don't want all the stuff. I don't want 5 graphs on my boat, don't need PPs, lithiums, heated seats, etc, etc, and sure don't want the headache of keeping all that crap working. I just want a reliable boat, motor, graph at the console and one at the bow, and a spot-lock TM. And guess what. The price is still obscene.

Agreed but, I imagine every generation has said the same thing about prices being crazy high as they age into retirement.

There are days I really miss my nice cushy 20' sparkle sled, and there are days I am happy to be fishing out of my tin rig two 7" depth finders and an Ultrex.
