Camera mounted on front of boat with 170 degree view Question ?

The camera on front helps with hole shot for me . I wish I had one with Zoom 10 X . The 6 inch monitor works but a zoom would be nice you could see way out in front of boat to advoid something in the water . NO I dont run down the lake just looking at 6 inch screen . Its a blind spot and it helps in low light . I dont want WiFi hard wire only . They have cameras on Motor Cycles with wather proof Monitor .

It would have to be a Bluetooth camera because security cameras for around your house need the Internet to work and most time you don’t have that on the lake from my experience here in Southwest Ohio

Any vehicle backup camera will work. But...really.....you can't see over your graphs, so you are going to look at your phone?

The video monitor would be nice if it was in my fishfinder to see in front and behind must be water proof!

Raising your seat up 2 inches makes a huge difference. I also pushed the back of my seat forward some as it was quite laid back.

Just how long does it take you to get on plane? Take a look at what's in front of you, then hit the gas and pop up onto plane.. much easier and safer IMO than staring at your graph to view the camera feed.. This simply doesn't seem logical at all to me honestly.. in fact it seems even more hazardous

I agree with this. If having that many units obstructs your view that much, you may want to rethink your set up. I have two Graphs and a 112 ultrex, but I can see just fine. With that being said im 6'4"

Triton 19 XS Elite, 225 Mercury Pro XS, Minn Kota Ultrex 112, Hydrowave H2,10' Power Pole ONE PUMP Blades, Power Pole CHARGE, Lowrance HDS 12 and 16 at console, Lowrance HDS 9, Garmin LiveScope at bow, Mercmonitor, Rigid Industries Deck lights and other stuff to come that will make me go more broke

I do not think this camera thing is a good idea. Maybe a pillow on the seat?

Yeah I put 2 Riser under my Drivers seat. Made it out of HPDE plastic. Made spacers to place between the seat nd the runners on top of the seat mount.

Why? Why would anybody want to install so many fish finders that they blocked their view of what's in front of them, I really doubt you have a clear field of vision even on plane.

Sounds like you should put a unit or 2 on Ram mounts & lay units on the deck when running. There's not a camera out there that would be a better option than this.

I am 5' 11" and have 3 graphs and ultrex. No problem seeing over them. If you cant see over yours, lean out the side of the console. Camera is a no no.

I tried the wide-angle motor cycle camera, and it works as I need it. If you are so worried about me looking at it before the boats on plane. Then what about running down the lake at night the camera even has limited low-light vision! The night vision is here now the cost is $$ .

There are times I wish I had one, like when going through a no wake zone. With the bow high it's sometimes tough to see the boat directly in front. I've had a couple come to almost a dead stop while in a moving line of boats through the zone. BAD idea. With all that said, I have a Nite-Track night vision camera on the bow that is wonderful for night fishing. I don't use it as my eyes to run, but having my 12" HDS display a daytime image in total darkness is fabulous. I can easily see buoys, or if anyone is dumb enough to be out there without lights.
