    Melted glue from cowl

The glue that holds the insulation inside the cowling of my 300XS Mercury melted and is running down and sticking to the lower housing. Is there a solvent to remove it?

Moving your post to the 3L Forum for you.

Denatured Alcohol, Goof-Off, or Lacquer Thinner (in that order) would be my go-to's for this.

NOTE: Me very careful when you pass the "goof off" stage because stronger solvents can damage plastic or finishes on plastics.

I'll echo that, another safer option would be to stop by an autobody paint/supply store and get some adhesive remover. Much gentler on plastics and works very well on adhesive was all I ever used as a collision tech.
