They always say the two happiest days are ........

The day you buy and the day you sell.

Well, three weeks ago I sold my Key West 1720 since in the last 2 years it was only used 7 times. So it went up for sale three weeks ago and sold a day later. Was happy for a day. Then while surfing the web found a 2017 Tracker 175 TXW on govdeals on auction. Well after paying 5800 with the tax and auction fees I am now happy with a boat once again in the driveway.
She was a rental boat at the military base, she needs some tender care.
The trailer had a spun bearing that they drove on, the fold away on the tongue is badly rusted and needs alot of work. The boat needs to be recarpeted, the seats can last for another year or so. The motor the 60hp 4 stroke is very clean and started with the first turn of the key.

The list of things to be done. These are for the near time.
Fixed the spun bearing and hub, but she will be getting a new axle. The spindle was worn but the bearing did seat, but will replace the axle.
Will cut out swing away part and weld solid.
Carpet is going to happen this spring.
Rub rail inset is in bad shape, I think they found every piling to rub against. Will be calling basspro about the rubrail unless someone knows where to get it.
I am currently doing a service on the outboard, oil, filter, water pump, plugs. fuel filter.

So i will look to you owners for some knowledge and help as I go.

So once again I am a happy boat owner ......
