    New model boat covers

I recently purchased a new ZXR 21 and the boat cover doesn't seem to be water proof. I uncover to soaked floor and a wet section of the front deck. The response from Skeeter was that the cover is made to repel water, not be waterproof! SMH

Does anyone else have this issue with their cover?

Mine stays dry so long as I use the support poles it came with when it rains to keep water from pooling on the cover and sagging.

The new covers, while good, are not nearly as good as the older ones. The new ones are not as heavy or durable as the older ones with the Skeeter lettering on the side.

My 2003 Skeeter cover is a work of art. It fits very good, wraps around the sponsons like it should, and after 22 years it’s still very water tight. My new Ranger cover leaks. Haha. It’s a sign of the times.

They all leak at the seams. You want to make sure that the cover is propped up correctly that there are no low spots that can catch water. If you have a single console, that would be a challenge for the area in front of the passenger seat. I've used an extra pole there, or an inflatable yoga ball on the floor, in front of the seat.
