Best setup for 9 Live and 9 Elite FS

I currently have 9 Live unit at the console hooked to a 3in1 transducer and a shoot-though transducer. I have an old 7 gen 2 at the bow with a trolling motor transducer. I purchased a Elite 9FS and an active target 2. I am going in circles trying to figure the best and most economical way to connect these, with or without the hds 7.

Dump the Gen2 you will just spend your time getting everything to work it a real hassle. I would put the Live at the bow, FS on the Console that way you will have one ethernet from bow to console and one from AT2 to bow and it will still share on both units.

I was thinking of getting rid of the gen 2 7, but was concerned about traditional sonar along with forward facing. For those of you with experience would I use both?

You cannot connect a Gen 2 to the newer units with Ethernet. If you decide to keep it for the uses you describe it will have to be a standalone. It will also interfere with the AT signal so you’ll need to hit Stop Sonar to clear up the returns on AT

Are the power cords to the Live and the Elite FS the same? Also, what transducer do you recommend that I attach to the trolling motor? The one I have now is connected with a hose clamp but the connections are different from the Live and Elite.

The FS is a 9 pin connector and the Live is both 9 pin connectors for sonar.
