    Tritons Future

Any thoughts on the future of Triton boats? I’ve had several guys tell me that Triton is going out of business, but I’m not really sure if they’re just reading that on random pages or if there’s anything really behind the comments.

If people keep saying it, it’ll cause it to happen

I don't think so. The new XPs are the best boats White River has. This rumor has been going around for close to ten years. Phoenix and Caymas have benefited heavily from this rumor. Right now, Triton has a better boat than either of them.

I hope that is the case. I have since spoke with the sales manager at the dealership where I bought my 2022 Triton. He said he has been hearing the same rumors, but he said he has heard these rumors many times in the past. He said the Sales Rep's are still taking orders so that is a good sign. He also said that the Pro's switching to other White River brands hasn't been a good look for Triton and could be viewed as a concern.

So, you need to consider the people you are hearing it from. Are any of them in any sort of position to have any real knowledge of what is going on. Also, do any of them have any kind of history of talking out of their butts on other topics or just in general sound like they are full of it? Just because someone said something doesn't mean they knew what they were talking about. Often its quite the opposite.

I will say if they do go under, sticking to the inflated prices that Covid gave will probably be a factor in that. I got mine a year or so before Covid and then the price jumped 40-50% and seems to have stayed there.

Agree 100%. The two original people that mentioned this to me were merely regurgitating things they had heard or read on websites. I shared what my Triton dealership told me and I put far more into what they had to say then random people. My original question was to those that may have heard things from sources they deemed to be reliable and I'll take it from your comments that you do not have any sources like that but I appreciate your comments. The facts that I know are accurate is that there are very few Pro's running Triton any longer and that isn't a good sign. The dealerships are still able to order the boats so that is a good sign. Seems like the feedback on the XP hull has been very positive. White River is certainly pushing their Ranger and Nitro lines MUCH HARDER than the Triton line.........this is not a positive.

yeah, just to be clear, I don’t know squat. lol. Just share my perspective on how I typically gauge the usefulness of the words that come out of other people’s mouths.

Correct....but never have they moved all the pro's to other brands! Never. Has to be a reason why that was done. I'd say we will know around model year change (July).

I don't recall anyone in the Elite series running a Triton last year either, and only a couple in 2023.

Triton is tooling 18 and 19XP molds for 2026 models. Boat companies going out of business don’t usually tool new molds.

I have heard about the 19XP, you are saying there is going to be an 18XP as well? That would be sweet with a 200 SHO on it. Sounds like Triton is going back to its roots and building fast boats again.

Pretty sure Triton is gone. Same rumors when stratos and champion went down. Everyone was saying it’s just rumors.
