This is a new season is it not, first event of the year and last season people wanted rules followed so here we are. So much bs last year that BASS is obviously trying to clean up and now people upset about it. You can't make this shit up. Matt's own kid admitted here he told him where a tournament was just won on the st John's, pretty cut and dry he should have self reported. Each of the dudes running idle zones got penalized equally by losing time right? Where's the problem?

You forgot the part where Matt’s son also said not only did Matt not act on it, but he ran the opposite direction. I don’t disagree that Matt should’ve reported it as a CYA move, but the fact that he didn’t use the information, disclosed the conversation with the son during the poly, and apparently has no history of infractions at BASS should have factored into the decision as well.

How do you feel about the way BASS should handle repeat offenders? I am all for them enforcing rules but if some guys are not learning any lessons what is the correct step to take to fix those guys and the grey area guys?

Oh, the typical uneducated response. You misunderstood my point, I didn’t point out the fact he really isn’t a threat because I am a better fisherman, I concede that lame rebuttal. He isn’t a threat because he has never won and never would since he couldn’t keep up with technology.

To your 1.2 million dollar comment. How many years did he fish to make that? 20 years? That’s $60k per year. Weren’t their entry fees alone $50k per year? Hope he has good sponsors, otherwise that’s below poverty status.
