This is where the industry needs to go in my opinion. I think saltwater has adapted this mirroring already. We will see screens get cheap over time. And sonar companies can focus and sell tech only. I view the screens as a liability on these companies. prolly the single biggest factor in warranty claims.

I can see electronics companies creating Hubs so one box can handle multiple ducers, multiple monitors.

garmin already has it with the 8700 box guys like tyler williams are running all nbt units with just the 8700 in a rod locker

yep, course they sell it at a premium, even though its cheaper to produce and a whole lot less liability. And i think all of the current companies basically can do what the 8700 box can do. but they cannot sell it for cheaper than there current product or they will shoot themselves in the foot.

To me there is an opportunity for a company to sneak in and take over the marine electronics market. Course patents will be an issue. and u will see a lawsuit. but u'll prolly be bought out quickly if u get any market share.
