Do still make this lure? One of those days on Lake Charlevoix

I had one of those fishing days like most of us have in our lifetime where the fish would only eat pretty much one lure. It's made by the Ohio Lure company. It's called a little donkey. Does anyone know if they still make it? I heard the company closed shop. Smallmouth were tearing it up last spring. It wasn't until the last two hours that I figured the bite out and it was one after another.

I just had a viewer give me the contact info for the guy that made them. It looks like I might be able to restock after all.

Couldn't you achieve a similar results cutting off the boot tail on a swim bait? I don't think the bass would mind much.

Good thought Mike, but no it would work the same way. I had 3" 4" and 5" Senkos they wouldn't touch. Had something funky about it that they were keyed in on. The Keitech plastic is much stiffer than the Donkey is.

It was originally made by Verbinator Baits in Ohio but do you he closed up and sold all his stuff. Can’t actually say who bought his molds.

You are correct. I have his name and email. I'm going to email him this week. He still makes baits but isn't in the business anymore.

Yes he did pour some really nice stuff. I use to be able to get it at Fisherman's Central. Those little donkeys work great on a drop shot too.

Maybe they wouldn't tear up so fast and catch more fish per bait?
