4 weeks away is a long time.Bass Elite guys are out of Camp Mack this week 13-16th.
Read the Tournament preview at Bassmasters or Bassfan.com for lake specifics. Also try "the ledger.com" under "outdoors-"fishing around Polk county"published every Thursday. As it gets closer ask again.I have a tournament the22nd,the 30th and again April 5th.So I'll share with you what I find water temp, clarity.depth etc.![]()
Thanks EL. I appreciate that. And if I can help with any local info from any of the southern waters (Broward & Palm Beach Counties) let me know.

I understand the north cove as well as Jacks slough are pretty hot right now. Just a "rumor" !
Where is this Scrub Slough that was hot for the FLW guys? I can't find it on any of my maps of the Chain. Huh?
No such place he meant Osceola slough, thats straight across the lake as you re coming out of Pig's Trail into North Cover. Some one correct me if I'm wrong.
so the Mark Evans map I have is wrong then? Right?......
Does your Mark Evans map show "Scrub Slough"? If it does is it in North Cove?
Or where does it show Scrub Slough's location?
it doesn't have Scrub Slough but, it does have the North Cove on it. I tried to look up Scrub on it . I was curious about all the pro's mentioning it and went right for the map.No luck! But I have had good luck in this area before for the spawn. (North Cove)
Just wanted to bump this thread. Going out of Grape Hammock next weekend and was wonder what the latest report is. I have a small club tourney there.
Thanks

I know how you feel Bob. It always seems to go that way. The guy's you talk to always seem to be fishing the location AFTER you're going to fish it. But I will say this with confidence... If you ever have any tourneys in South Florida (where our club is based) I guarantee you that any of our members would share good info with you to help you out. Most of the bodies of water we fish are from Lake Osborne/Ida down as far south as the Aerojet Canal almost in the keys. We have a lot of tourneys in the Glades, Holeylands, Alligator Alley, Holiday Park and Sawgrass. We do occasionally fish Placid, Istakpoga, and Walk in the Water, but typically only once a year.
Tight lines!

Im getting reports on some "big"bags in Kissimmee.
I fished Kissimmee last weekend and didn't do chit. Couldn't find any clean water, fished North Cove, 7 Palms, Brahma Island, and Philly point. Philly had the cleanest water, but didn't find any fish aside from a few dinks roaming around. Everybody I saw out there was on the move also, looked like no one was catching. I only saw one boat with a rod bent...
Sunday was good on Toho, I probably had 20 bites but shook most of them off. Water is cleaner than clean. This summer should be a blast if they don't spray the green stuff.
Wish I could say more.............I'll be out there Sunday myself. In addition to HT3, there is also a 90 boat TPB out of Southport and our 25 boat club out of Camp Lester. Saturday will be worse though.
