Think I saw on an earlier FB post it had 39 hours on it. Who pays that much for a boat then only runs it 39 hours before selling?

I've seen good looking ones, but man most I see (like this one) need about 75% of the stickers / striping and compartments removed

I'm going to clarify what I just said. It's not that I think they are an ugly boat. Not at all. I just have trouble with some of the quirky things that they do like the front deck layout, the trolling motor pedal location, the old school vent covers and the whacky steering wheel. I've never really cared for the stripe on the boat either. Now I will say this. Dean C. ordered the right color combination. I love the color of his and it's a beautiful boat. It makes me forget about everything that I just listed.

That just means his entry fee would be double on a circuit with a 250hp limit

I have always been interested in the Jag and the 2025 redesign hit the sweet spot for me.
so much so that I worked for some time with Ross Motorsports on the 400R rigged one they had.

trade in value was where we could not meet or otherwise that boat would be in my garage.
These are not meant for the masses and frankly if you have to ask how much it costs it’s
    probably not for you.

Then why worry about trade in value if cost doesn't matter?

I thought that was cheap for a Jag but then I seen some commenting about it being a boat.

In 2025 the MSRP on that engine is roughly $85,000. There are other parts which add to that cost because it require a backbone harness and special prop hub. Then there’s the Verado steering and digital throttle/shift.

This boat is a one time sold unit that is being resold. It is a bargain and runs over $200,000 new. We prefer the 400R on daily use Jaguar STS models.

I expect a certain amount of depreciation on a 2023 boat with 40 hours
but in my case not taking a bath. Just because I have the money to make such a purchase
does not mean I am foolish with my money, does that make sense ?

I've got a 2022 Jaquar. I actually love the passenger rod box. It can be used to walk back and forth on the boat without stepping down in the cockpit. 20241020_135212.jpg

2025 Jags have different design consoles, and the Co angler rod box is gone. Much wider area between dual consoles.

Sure. But saying that anyone that says it cost to much shouldn't be able to afford one and it's out of their league and shouldn't look at it that way doesn't make sense. Your not the only with money and frugal

This is certainly a "dream rig" that only a privileged few can afford. Like many super premium products, it may not appeal to the average person. I think the majority of those who buy products like this really get off on the "how much I paid for it" to show off the fact that they can afford such things. Kind of like the guy with a "trophy wife" that they like to show off to their friends ....... I'd rather have the trophy wife!
