Lake Toho guide help and lure questions.

My boss is sending me to Orlando for a week in mid May for a conference. I know Disney World is in Orlando, but all I can think about is trying to spend a day fishing Lake Toho and Florida Lunker Bass! (Mickey who???? )

Any suggestions for a good guide for Lake Toho would be appreciated. I'd also like to know what some of the "go to" lures are for that lake.
I've wanted to go bass fishing in Florida for a long time but, since I'm on the other side of the country, I've never been able to get around to it.

If anyone wants info on the California Delta, let me know. I spend a lot of time there (too much if you ask my wife ). email: mclark60@pacbell.net

    Thanks!

Probably not going to get much help due to all the tournaments on the Kissimmee Chain this time of year, hope this helps. They should all be done spawning, you might run across a couple of late spawners but I would not waste any time looking for them. Bring some flippin sticks. There will be some super shallow but not many big ones, probably moved back around the first weed line or under mats. The water has been jacked up lately because of all the pollen. I have not been there a couple of weeks. I always have a fluke, trickworm and a paddle tail worm ready, I like WM Candy. Dark colors for flipping. As for a guide, never used one but there should be a plethora on the web. If you want to catch fish for sure, big shiners always work. Got a buddy in Stockton, going there in June, help

Mike...another guide that I used about a year ago that was pretty knowledgeable of Toho is Jac Mitchell. He guides out of Big Toho Marina there in Kiss... His number on his card is 888-621-1184, Cell is 321-624-2848. He's been guiding there for over 20 years I believe and is a heck of a nice guy. Only thing that I'll prewarn you about since both of us run Tritons..he has a Gambler...so if you don't mind that....he will do you a good job. (just kidding about the gambler...it fished very well and would haul a$$)

BTW..I just spent last week at Toho and caught lots of fish but mostly small ones. Did manage to catch 1 at 8-13. (Her picture is on this forum under the Kissimmee thread) While she hit a bang-o-lure, most of the fish we caught was on a watermelon red super fluke or trick worm in the same color. Also the black w/ blue fleck and junbug w/ chartreuse tail sinko style baits work very well when worked slowly over submerged hydrilla.
