Anyone fishing Thursday? (Conway or Harris)

Hedding out to either Conway or Harris with a friend of mine on thursday. I'm leaning towards conway, to give those schoolers one more try.

I'd love to meet some of the Orlando regulars. Of course any hot spots are alway appriciated.

I'll be the one on the Tracker 185 triping over way to many rods on the deck

Hope to meet you there. It is a buetiful chain of lakes. Went last weak for the first time. We should be there early. Be care finding the ramp. It is not well marked, we drove right by.

Re: Anyone fishing Thursday? (Short Gambler)

The schoolers are starting to work more frequently now. I scheduled Monday as a vacation day and took my son-in-law. We had a great morning.....fished from 7:00 am to 11:00 and caught schoolers most of the morning. They are scattered but if you know how to fish for them, you should get 30 to 50 fish in the boat. Watch for the diving birds and follow the fish (better have good batteries). You can fish any of the lakes and you should see fish working the surface and when they go down, work spoons (Hopkins or Crockadile??) on the bottom or swim the spoons slowly back to the boat. You can also use soft jerk baits (Zoom superflukes) and hard jerk baits (Rapala 13 or 9 "S"//Mirror-lure white jerk baits). Several boats have been catching fish off the ski run by the island in the northeast part of the lake. Hope ya'll do well. One thing that is important.....pay attention to what you were doing when you got a bite or hooked a fish......then try to repeat it.

Sounds good, Walt. I sent you an e-mail about the GPS. give me a call if you have any questions.

    Bill

What other Deltona lakes can we get into besides Gleason? I checked out that ramp by Howland & 415. You need 4WD on your trailer just to get through the swamp.

Lake Gleason has always been a good lake to fish. How has the fishing been there recently?

    Re: (Rich Sgueglia)

Not bad, I usally get a couple everytime out on Gleason, Ihave never caught anything real big though. I is nice for a short trip I can go from boat in garage to boat in water in about 15 minutes. I just live around the corner.

The ramp is a little rough with the water up. It's tough to get the trailer level on that sand ramp for the reload.

    Re: (Short Gambler)

Hey guys, I couldn't answer your question because I work from 6 a - 6 p. The best place to fish Conway in the wind is on the windy side of the lake. Some of my best days are when the wind is 15 + . The wind and waves push bait fish to the windy side and the bass will gang up on them. I don't always like hard windy days but this time of year you have to make the best of it. Did ya'll catch anything?
