Need some more ideas

What color are the crawfish up there? I want to stock up on some finesse jigs, but I don't want to get the wrong color. What are some of your favorite/most productive jigs? I still have my fingers crossed for the BFL Regional.

Got it. I'll try to find some green/pumpkin colored finesse football jigs. I have some Bitsy bugs. Those should work up shallow. So, here's the list so far:

1) Lucky Craft Pointer 100 (chartruse shad)
2) Jewel or PJ's football jigs (green pumpkin)

I was planning on spooling up with 6-10lb Vanish. The 6lb. on drop-shots and 10lb on jigs. Am I missing anything? Thanks for the help thus far.

If you are fishing deep grass with the jigs, I would have one rigged up with some 15-17 pound carbon. You could get some big bites on Ouachita.

Oh yeah, I haven't forgotten about the grass. I fish grass here all the time, so I have plenty of tackle for that.

Thanks for all the ideas. I found some football jigs and the Lucky Craft Pointers at BPS yesterday. I got 1 Pointer 100 in the deep diving model and 3 Booyah pigskin football jigs. The Pointer is chartruse shad and I got the pigskins in 3 different colors. I found some nice jigs with brown, black, chartruse, and green colors in them. I just hope they work. I already trimmed the skirts back. They were pretty long. I'll probably use 17-20lb fluorocarbon on the jigs and 10lb on the pointer. What do yall think? Will this work?

You ought to be able to smoke em on those selections. Get you some PB&Js though. (peanut butter and jelly) those are an awesome color for clear water.

I didn't see anything in a 3/4oz. football head that looked like PB&J.

I got one with thick pumpkin/black bands on top, and thin really dark brown bands on bottom with a brown head. Someone told me the crawfish are brown up there. I got one with thick pumpkin/black and chartruse bands on top and thin black bands on bottom with a black head. The other one has thick pumpkin/balck bands on top and thin green pumpkin bands on bottom with a brown head.

I bought some skirts in brown/black/orange that I put on some jig heads. I found some really cool trailers for these jigs too. They are made by Robo Worm, but I'm not sure what they are called. I can't wait to try them.
