I have a tournament at Lake Ouachita and was wondering if anybody a fishing report. I was wondering if the water is still high and muddy?

Just a word of warning, I will be bugging you guys here in about 3 weeks. We make an annual trip every year to Ouachita. So I will be looking for updates. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the tip, but I'm not sure I want to spend over $20 for a jerkbait. What if I took a white X-rap and put a yellow stripe down the side? Would that work?![]()
Gitcha Bass On!
I bought mine for $15 each in a bait & tackle shop down the road. Bought 3 of them all in the same color scheme. Only needed one for Lake Ouachita though (Pointer 100). If you worked out the cost, it would average around $1 per keeper fish for the Ouachita trip. And, I still have the lure for use on other lakes now as well. It's a super performer in the suspending lure category.
I would imagine an X-Rap would work quite well also. That's what a friend who has lived near and fished Lake Ouachita for many, many years recommended to me in the first place. I just like the Luckycraft better.
I fished with a pro (Danny Pierce) in the FLW Stren Series tournament on Bull Shoals lake in 2006 and he was running low on Luckycraft jerkbaits after loosing a few. He got on the phone that afternoon and made a call. Early the very next morning a courier delivers him a box full of Luckycraft lures . . . . free of course. Must have been more than two dozen lures in that box all of a specific model, size and color specified by Danny. Now, that's the kind of sponsor support I wish I had.
x rap, olive greenyou owe me one
