Are the lakes frozen over were your at?

Hey guys I’m in sw Iowa and most of the small lakes are freezing over. Not good enough for ice fishing by no means but no more boating. The only 2 I know of that are still open enough for boating are Viking and the Atlantic rock quarry. Both of those have ice starting in the backs and shallows. I may get the boat out one more time Saturday as long as the ice storm stays away. Does anyone know what 12-mile is doing? During thanksgiving a guy at work was coming back from Missouri family deal and said green valley was skimming over. What reports do any of you guys have?? What about the maryville, Missouri lake? Those aren’t much south but wondering about them? I’ll have about 2wk off work around Christmas and could travel south a few hours if the weather was good enough for travel. Would anyone know of a good lake that would be open?

DNR report today said 12-mile as of 12/11 that the mail lake was open. Nothing was said about Viking being open.
