I've been thinking of coordinating a small get-together of BBC folks on Bull Shoals Lake this fall when the temps are cooler and fishing is a bit better. Maybe a dinner one evening and a bass tournament the next day.

Wouldn't be anything like last years Bull Shoals Rally with all the freebies, donations, plaques, application and insurance forms, etc. But, depending on how long you can stay, you could tour the Ranger factory, visit the FLW Sports Gallery, etc. while you're here.

Maybe late Sep or early Oct? Anybody interested?

The tournament will be on a Saturday. Safe light to 3 PM. The get-to-gether dinner probably Fri or Sat night at one of the restaurants. Talked to our local Ranger dealer yesterday and they will host the weigh-in and bring scales, bags, etc.

Just need the temps to start falling, the foliage to start changing and the fishing to improve. This should all occur in early to mid October. Too hot right now and the fishing is not real good during the day. Went out last Sat for three hours. Got runoff by all the Jul 4 tourists who were still here Caught 6 fish with one good keeper and one borderline. Four smallies, one Kentucky and one largemouth. Keeper was a smallmouth.

I'll wait awhile longer before announcing the dates. Give me a couple more weeks. I'd like to have it out of Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock but I have to check on tournament dates with them so we'll have the weigh-in facilities to ourselves.

Hey, we're in the Bible Belt...no drinking, smoking, swearing, or gambling allowed! Fishing OK though!

I thought I would be on Easy Street by now but somehow I missed the off ramp!

More will show up as we approach rally time. At least it was that way when we held the BBC Bull Shoals Rally here last spring

    Jim,

Has there been a solid date set? I've got a lot of stuff going on this fall (mostly 4-legged furry stuff), but would like to attend if at all possible.............

    Hi Aaron,
No, haven't set the date yet. More than likely it will be around mid-Oct. That's about when the fishing starts to recover from it's summer doldrums

I'm looking hard at Sat, Oct 13 as a possible date for the tourney but haven't confirmed it yet. Hope you can make it

As long as you ranger boys don't mind sharing the water with a Basscat I might be very interested.

    Re: (Bullshoalscat)

    Don,
This little get-together is open to all BBC members and guests even those running Basscats Must have at least one BBC member in each boat. I don't expect more than 10 or 12 boats so it is only a mini-rally in all aspects. Probably ask $10 fee from everyone fishing the tourney and then split that pot over 1st, 2nd and 3rd place (50%, 30%, 20%). We'll also have a big bass pot if everyone wants it.

If the fishing was better we'd do it now. But, the fishing is pretty poor right now. The winner of the last Tue evening Ranger tourney had 4 fish weighing 10 lbs. Only one boat out of 34 had a limit. So, we'll wait until fall when the fishing picks up. Sometime around mid to late Oct.

    Hope you can make it
