its not just your responsibility, I think we all need to chip in on something like this...
Just glad we are getting some votes, so far it looks like people are happy with the 18th.. we'll let her cook a while and see what happens.
Gonna pin it for a while and see what everyone thinks..................

Not really interested in fishing the tournament. Too much pressure, not enough comaraderie and fellowship. What about the week before or the week after the tourney or is everyone set on fishing the tournament?
Thanks for pining this Aaron![]()
I dont know what everybody wants to do, I guess thats up for grabs as much as the date when to do it. Myself I think it would just be great if everybody met up the night before and went and ate dinner somewhere and just hung out and socialized that evening. Then do the tourny thing the next day, nothing too serious and it could even be a short one like til noon so everybody could spend the rest of the day visiting and playing with boats and what not if we wanted? What does everybody else want to do?

Jim,
I don't think we are talking about a serious tourney. Just a bunch of guys getting together to have some fun and meet folks. Maybe some side pots (if interested). Really more of an opportunity to put some faces with names. At least, that's what I'm interested in...........![]()

exactly what I had in mind aaron![]()
OK. I thought you guys were talking about the Governors Cup tournament that dbasketman mentioned at the top of this thread. It's on Sunday, March 19 with a banquet on Saturday, March 18. Are you sure you want to fish Dardanelle the same day as all the guys pre-fishing for this tourney?
Jim,
How many participants in the Gov. Cup tourney? Dardenelle is plenty big enough for quite a lot of fishing. Our company tourney usually coincides with the Wal-Mart tourney. There's about 500 boats fishing T's on that weekend. Still not too crowded. It's a big place.............![]()

I really don't know how many will be in the Gov Cup tourney. I would think less than the Wal-Mart tourney though.
OK. Guess I'm in for a BBC mini-rally on Saturday. What ramp are we fishing out of and is anybody fishing on Friday?
Depending on how many people are there pre-fishing for the other tourney, but I would say we should fish out of the Dardanelle State Park on the Russellville side. Surely we can find a spot to get away from everybody to do a small weigh-in. I am sure I will be around to fish Friday![]()
That's sounds fine. I'll probably drive in early on Friday. I'll stay at the Holiday Inn in Russellville on the way out to Arkansas Nuclear One if it's still there. Haven't been there in many years. Isn't the park kinda midway between the Holiday Inn and ANO?
yep, the Holiday Inn is still there at the intersection of Hwy 7 and Dike Rd., the State Park is out Marina Road which is between the Holiday Inn and ANO, just head west out Dike road, go through the stoplight at Hwy 64, then turn right at the next light which is Marina Road, that will take you to the park![]()
Can't wait for it........ready to meet some of you guys![]()
New Arkasas resident and new poster. I'm retired so I'm down for most any date. Would enjoy the fellowship and the fishing. Haven't fished competitively for several years so I probably can't keep up with you youngsters. Tin boats okay? Old guys okay?
Tin boats are welcome and if old, retired guys weren't OK I guess I wouldn't be coming![]()

welcome aboard DanI was wondering if you had signed up on here yet. Did you get my email the other day? Heck ya old guys are welcome, we need y'all around to teach us youngsters how to fish..
Also, doesn't matter if you fish out of a innertube, as long as you are a BBC member your welcome...
Sounds like we may get a good turn out for this thing... I'd say sometime next month we need to start getting a little more serious about the plans for this thing, march will be here before we know it.. I hope...
