Tighten nut to 55lbs still loose

I had this prop rehubed and just now getting the chance to put it back on. Tighten nut to 55lbs still loose on the shaft. Up and down movement is quite a bit. thrust washer is there, basically i put it back the same way as i took it off. One thing ive noticed is the splines are loose in the hub. I guess my ? is is my hub wore out or could they have pushed the torgue stick to far and that causing me not to be able to tighten down the prop all the way.

I'd take the prop back to whoever you had "rehub" it. Sounds like they may have installed the wrong hub.....

If the prop is a tempest plus, trophy plus, etc. then you need at least 100 ft-lbs of torque on the prop nut. If the hub is "solid" ,then as Don mentioned, 55 ft-lbs is the target. You might have already known this though? In either case, good luck with your problem resolution.
