    Gville FOM 9-21/22/23/24

Well first day of practice caught 135. Mostly schoolers, big fish 5 but most solid 2lb'ers in Seibold area. Day 2 practice ran up to BB Comer area fishing main river. Nice cold front blew in and bite slowed somewhat due to front and the deeper pattern we were running. Buzzbait still drew best fish 5' or less. Never checked big fish hole both days or practice.... MISTAKE LOL>

First day of T spent fishing deep and it just wasnt happening. Struggled the whole day catching one keeper with about 25 non keepers. Good friend took early lead with 24lbs. Discoverd the DEEP pattern I was working LOL 5-8' was too deep for better fish. Day 2 of T moved up skinny less than 3' in the slop and got some payback. Caught about 50 that day, big fish of 6 and managed a mediocre 17lbs. Would not have been bad if it wasnt for day 1 abortion.

On the schooling fish, spook jr, zell pop, spittin image, red eye shad and XR50 just pounded them. With the 2 rattle baits smacking them really good. THe faster the bait right now the better the bite. 10" worms produced a few but like Eric B noted, buzzbaits super skinny really drew the better fish in.

Super T, FOM always run a tight T. Buddy won with 41+, fishing super skinny. No rat bite at all. Spook jr's and 1/4 buzzbaits were the deal.

Gville is smokin hot now. Super time to take a kid. Fish are schooling all over the lake. Later day bite was much better than early. Water temp 78 and clear to some slight stain.

Have to agree with Kerry on this the deep bite shut off. The buzzbait was the way to go. Jason and I had 5lbers just crushing the buzzbait but no hook ups. The keeper fish was a different story, they would stay hooked up. I did lose a pig over 10lbs easy on a crankbait. So if any body finds a big fish floating I would love my bait back.
