Cranking Battery Question

I need to replace my cranking battery soon. It's for a 200 Optimax. I'll be running two 9-inch graphs plus accessories off this. Will this work? i dont think a 60ah will do for a starting battery but Im no expert on batteries and the experts will be here soon Im sure. by the way my battery is a impulse lithium 105 for the starting and they are a board sponser that will answer all your questions

Just my 2 cents on cranking batteries but I would be more comfortable with a brand named one from one of the sponsors on here for one just because of the more advanced BMS that's associated with them and the potential for issues having an actual person you can contact if you have something go wrong. I went with the Ionic 125ah from drew just because that's the battery that I have read most have when running lithium's on Optimax's with no issues (they're not approved by Mercury) that I have found although I do have weize's for my trolling motor and haven't had issues with them but I realize when or if I do I will probably get zero customer service and just have to buy another.

I know someone running the Weize 60Ah on a small outboard without any issues. I'd lean toward the 105Ah version since it's only $50 more than the 60Ah for a little more capacity and CCA.

You definitely want 100 ah cranking battery. Lithium is the way to go for all-day performance running graphs, livewells, etc. I have a 225 ProXS and switched to a 135 ah cranking battery this year. That’s probably more battery than I need, but a cranking battery is the last place I’d try to economize.

250 Optimax. I run a 100AH cranking battery. It powers 3 12 inch graphs, FFS, pumps, dual power poles, lights, starts etc…I’ve used up to 86 of its 100AH in a full tourney day with pumps starting early in the morning.

Forgot to add.... Definitely going for the 105AH not 60AH. Also, I'm running my live scope on a separate battery as that sucker draws a lot of power.

FYI: The link the OP provided has two batteries. One is a 105aH 1000CCA battery. The smaller one just shows up in the link for some reason.

I'd worry about charging and if both the outboards charging systems as well as any other charger you use will with a lithium battery.

That is for motor only, no graphs, LiveWell or acc. and it still will not crank an optimax properly in cold weather.
On fishin boat, need to listen to the ones that have a lot of experience in this
950 CCA and 185 minute reserve, but so what you want,
I see the result of going to small several times a year, end up with a lot of grief and starting over (buying twice)

Yes, that's why I said minimum, I run a 1000 CCA battery on mine.

I'm running a 125ah iconic now.. last weekend 30deg had a really hard time cranking the motor.. had to turn on live wells and run power poles up and down several times to get it to crank... never had that problem with the 100ah relion I took out .even after 8 years and down to 20 deg.. one piece of advise ,buy a quality cranker..
