250 pro xs no water pressure reading.

2019 pro xs 250 sn2b639244 has no reading on the water pressure gauge. Does not run hot and has good stream out of the telltail. I checked the screens on the motor all were clear. I’m thinking it may be a faulty gauge? What’s the best way to check it, or what else should I check. Motor has 165hrs on it

Just went through this. Very little water pressure at WOT. No alarms. Replaced the impeller and still no water pressure. The dealer checked the sending unit in the console. (Didn't realize it had one.) It was full of the old impeller. They replaced it but haven't had the opportunity to get it out. Good luck!

Is this an Analog Instrument, or a SMARTCRAFT instrument?

When was the impeller/gasket last replaced?

If your boat has the phoenix multifunction gauge in the dash its most likely the sending unit/transducer in the dash. Take the front off the dash and youll see it. Unplug the black hose and see if water is flowing into it on the hose. Beware of the amount of water that will flow out of that hose, id slip a bigger one over it and route it out of the dash for testing

I believeI found the issue. I checked that sensor in the dash like y’all mentioned and the hole in it was clogged up. I cleaned it out with some tip cleaners for a torch, I will start it up tomorrow and test it out the hose and sensor . Thanks!!

Have water pressure now. Just something blocking the hole of the sensor.

Recommend you disconnect tube and blow backwards through it to purge out any water trapped in it. Otherwise, it may freeze (the sensor actually reads air pressure as the water COMPRESSES the air in the tube while engine is running).

Oh ok. I will do that. Using an air compressor to blow out the line will be fine?

Tube disconnected from the sensor and blowing backwards - yes.

Use extreme caution- use LOW (Regulated) pressure ONLY. Don't exceed 50 psi or you could potentially damage the water pressure sending unit.
