Do you have a tourney on Weiss in september? Just trying to figure out why you are asking specifically about Sept.

Im not too sure about Weiss in general, but I have fished Logan Martin alot and could give you some ideas for it, shoot me an IM.

I don't if you've been there lately, but if we dont get rain there won't be any water to fish in. I fished the Chattooga Sunday morning and was suprised at how low the lake is. It looks like October.

Do you fish ant of the Wednesday tournaments out of JR's. They all seem to be won on the Coosa edges. I like to fish the Yellow Creek area and Little River.

Fished yesterday, weighed in 5 fish but not even close to the money. We fished docks in the Chattooga using plastics. What classic are you fishing?

we are fishing the weiss lake team championship trail, we are 14th in points right now, I've tried e-mailing Jason Tucker at JR's marina, but he doesn't want to give any advice

I'd say that you would have to hire him before you get any advise. He don't share, but then thats why he wins.

I guess I'll have to get busy this winter and put some cover out, then keep it stocked with crawdads like he does

    Re: Weiss September (rangersndanger)

I've got a buddy that has been throwing that damn shakey head under docks in 3' and catching 12-15 lbs. He says plumb or key lime is best.

He caught a 6 lb head last week on the docks on the right side just below River Queen (or whatever it's called) boat.

He said that is where he is catching all his big fish.

I hate that damn shakey head!!

As much rain as we're getting right now, the backs of coves and creeks should produce.

I know at Neely Henry, the shad are already moving to the creeks and coves.

    Re: Weiss September (damstriper)

oh yeah, the shad were moved into the creeks that last tournament, I guess we'll be fishing those same spots again, I've checked some creeks above the bridge up river but have not had much luck

well after the first day of the classic, 22 1/2 lbs is leading, we only mustered 12 lbs

so.............we're going to catch the lake record sack tomorrow and win the thing

That's pretty strong. I figured it was going to be a good day.

I went to Neely Henry Saturday and had 14 lbs in about 4 hours. It was the middle of the day and everything was on rattle traps.
