    250 EFI-Tuner ???????

    Building a 3.0L 250 EFI, the exhaust can has already been cut down. What's the general opinion on adding a tuner ? What's it really worth power wise with high compression heads & a MAD EFI intake as well as curved ECU's ?

    Just cut the can and installed a poppet diverter in my XB this weekend. I talked to Simon and he said If you just cut the can without the diverter it doesn't make that big of a difference. I have heard mixed reviews about the tuner and don't have any experience with it myself so I can't comment on that.

    Made a BIG difference in Brent's 300X What you should do is the Hydro Tec 3 L tuner, a light weight fly wheel, Simon popit diverter, Simon ECU reflash and the rest of the stuff your talking about. Now that would be real bad

    Simon doesn't do my particular ECU had to send mine to rapair waiting on it now. Hope to see some gains. Spoke with Simon yesterday great guy to deal with and willing to help with any issue you have.

    Eric is great and willing to help and share. The Hydro tech tuner does make a difference and the proof is on the dyno runs they have posted on their website!

    Yep I called and asked if he would do it and he told me he didn't mess with them. It was about 2 weeks ago when I called

    I believe you, but he best ubdate his website soon. Here is current link;

    Just spoke to him. Sorry for the confusion he does not do my particular motor. But does do pretty much everything else I edited my post above to correct myself

    Yeah OK I guess that one motor's ECU's he doesn't do BUT you should do both the Simon and Hydro Tec parts including the 3 L HT Tuner on that 3 L EFI it's going to be real

    Let me tell you I saw it in action on Brent's boat ( the Lanier custom with the 300X) and Lou had his Stroker with his 300X next to it and Brent's sounded like a 300 Drag motor and Lou's stock 300X sounded like a 4 stroke in comparison. Not to mention how bad arz both those boats are period

    I'd think one look at dyno chart on Wayne's site with the tuner mod would seal the deal for anyone
