I only got to see a dozen or so take off loaded to party...buy my work was under ground mostly making those target packages...got to see some of my packages first hand in iraq when i finally got there on newer mission in 05...love the b1...acually i have a spot for all proper bombers . B17 to b2...all cool in my book...one cool thing i got to was check out the B2 hangars at whiteman back in 2003...super cool seeing em up close and getting to touch em...they feel funny compared to other acft

Agree. The B1 is able to look sleek and sexy while looking very evil and sinister at the same time.

We had a wheel on the center console between the pilots that we could dial in up to 20* of crab into the gear. It was a real treat to have more than 10 dialed up because I wasn’t looking out the front anymore.

I remember going into outstations that didn’t see bombers. I’d have the co turn in the full 20 as we taxied past their flight lines. That would get folks looking.

    Were you at Griffiss?

Totally get where you’re coming from! I used to think the same thing before I dug into it. The B-52 is a classic and can haul a serious load, but the B-2 is all about stealth and precision. It's wild how each bomber has its strengths based on what it's built for. I remember reading about how the B-2's design helps it sneak past radar, which is such a game changer in modern warfare. Both have their place, but it's fascinating to see how they approach different missions..

For you guys that are into these magnificent aircraft and are ever traveling I-80 through NE you owe it to yourself to stop and visit the SAC Museum between Lincoln and Omaha. I don't believe they have a B-1 or B-2 yet but they do have a B-52 on the floor that you can stand in the bomb bay doors of. It's quite a sight. The place is huge with so many aircraft it can take hours to see it all. The Buff is one of my favorites as well as the B-58. They also have an SR-71 that is hanging in the foyer as you enter
