Is there any decent fishing heading right (east) out of the Massena Boat Intake up to the lock? Not looking for exact spots, just thinking of dipping my toes in the might St. Lawrence while I'm up on Champlain.

Good fishing up that way towards the reservation. The BFLs and Toyotas have been launching out of the intake for a few years now. My brother in laws family lives 15min from Massena so we’re up there a lot for stuff other than fishing.

Thanks, might give it a shot. Have been up there for a Toyota as a co, but my boater went left out of the ramp and down to Lake O. Gotta figure some of those released fish from the tournaments stick around and don't go all the way back to the lake--one would hope.
I live up that way on the Canadian side. The water is still a bit warm but some numbers and size are starting to come up from the deep and are looking to eat. Find some rockpiles in 5-8 ft (there's a billion or so of them) and hang on.
