    Shimano swept handles..

does anyone make them?!..it seems EVERY other reel company is putting cool looking handles on the new reels, Shimano on the other had is going the way, they look every cheaper and more crappy!
i'd like to find a few aftermarket ones for my curados E's, i do have one with a ZPI carbon one, but i really like the "swept" handles.

    Re: Shimano swept handles.. (JeffA)

You could make a swept handle designed for a Daiwa work with a little effort, but the other issue would be making the drag star accommodate the tweaked swept handle... In other words, it's more trouble than it's worth... just trick out Daiwas - they have all the cool aftermarket stuff anyway!

Depends on which ones really and depends on what you consider expensive... my favorite Daiwa reel of all time is the TD-Z 103H (and variants) and there have been several for sale lately for reasonable prices considering their condition. They make GREAT reels for custom paint, supertuning, swept handles and stars, etc... not to mention, they're one of the best all purpose reels ever straight out of the box

    I second that comment

Time to go GQ reels with matching rods.

Why? Because he wants to. Why does it matter to you what he does with his reels?
