    Don’t know I could say that there is a popular rod brand out there. Since there is so many nowadays. It’s more of an opinion or preference.

    My favorite as a kid in the 70s were my Lews Fugi speed sticks with Ambassador 5000

    Even down here in Texas the Falcons are popular, specifically the real, American made ones. Too bad you can't get 'em any more.

    The new Ugly Sticks are actually a pretty nice rod. I buy and sell used and new fishing tackle. I had a fishing flea market yesterday. I sold two used Shimano rods for $110 each, the purchasers didn't haggle at the price. Trevalas.
    What is popular? Name brands, pretty rods or rods that match each other and can be recognized just sitting there. A ton of bass fishermen would fish with a pool stick if the others in their group would envy them.

    Ugly Stik by light years. The new ones don't seem to be too terrible bad.
    2023 Xpress H18 with 115 SHO that's optioned to fit my wants and pulled by a little Ram.

    I would say ugly stick.

    However, somebody is making the rods that sell to visiting tourists, the $39 dollar rod and reel combo that sells in the Dollar G, grocery stores, hardwares. The ones that people just leave and don't take home when they leave. My guess would maybe be Penn??
