I assume the head on those is lead?
If you use those, how do you like them?
I used a plastic head type and it casted and worked awesome! not sure on the leadheads though.

I believe it is tin for the head, not sure, but I know it's not lead. I bought 10 of them, and they seem good to me, but I've never used any others to compare them with.
The hardest part to me was bending the connectors to attach the terminal components. If you have a wire bender, it would be easy, but I don't. I finally settled on a "safety clip" type attachment using regular pliers and a round end pliers. Seems to work good.
You can't beat em for the price. They cast great and run true.
Thats kind of what I was wondering. I have heard the lead head ones like many are making themselves will wrap up easier on the cast due to the weighted head tumbling more on the cast???

Nope, I made several hundred of them with a lead head and they fish no differently than the epoxy head models. I have made some with Aluminite Resin and they work good but it takes longer to make each one. I am going to experiment with Tin when I get a chance.
They cast as well as the Sworming Hornet Swarm. I do add an oval split ring to the front which seems to help getting un-snagged from wood.

I have the same ones that Barlow's does, and while testing it was obnoxiously slinging the crap outta it everyway possible to try and get to tumble and had no problems. ANY design thrown into a strong wind is going to from time to time though. They are just like any other bait in that scenario.....a pain.

These are from barlows, they are tin and ive been making them since last Sep.I bend the ends with round bend pliers and a pair of vise grips. They fish very well. Buy 10 for $39.00.![]()
Very Nice, I have 10 on the way. But I wont be able to paint them quite as nice.....good work![]()

I love mine from Barlows. I could care less if the head is painted or not. That's just me. But they cast great.
